CYBER SECURITY (MIS3009S)
WELCOME MESSAGE
Welcome to the module Cyber Security. The module is designed to provide a broad overview of what cyber security entails and how decisions are made on a high-level pertaining security risks and incidents. Through this module, I hope to engage you in discussions to spur critical thinking and help you develop an interest in this field of cyber security. I want to encourage questions from the class so we keep the dialogue going throughout this module. And I seek to bring in real-life examples and incidents to provide a realistic sensing of what’s happening in this industry.
Having built a digital business with a competitive advantage in the global marketplace, managers now need to place focus on the management and implementation of effective Security Threat Management. Given how digitalized businesses are today, the imperative is to understand how to prevent and respond to cyber threats as and when, and not if, they come.
Students will discover during this module that teamwork, collaboration, and problem-solving are key skills to successful complete this module.
