WHY (PURPOSE)

The Fashion Scholarship Fund (FSF) is a major national competition that pushes students to research, explore, and provide solutions for major trends influencing our industry today. Completing this project per the brief provided by the FSF (posted to Blackboard), will challenge students to consider deeply the strategic purpose and business intention of their creative vision.

This project will require in-depth business analysis, making use of a diverse range of sources and materials, which will enhance students’ research skills and strengthen their preparedness for employment.

WHAT (OVERVIEW)

Students are required to follow the latest FSF brief, posted to Blackboard and accessible via the “Savannah School of Fashion Competitions” community on Blackboard as well.

Through in-depth research of markets, business strategies, upcoming product/materials trends, and exploration of current socio-cultural context, you will develop a range of products that mark a new, inspirational and innovative direction for your chosen brand.

Your final range must comprise 10-15 forward-thinking products, presented with thorough evidence of research, exploration, and technical information. Refer to the full list of slide deck requirements provided in the FSF brief.

During the development of this project, it is required that students attend at least 1 competition extra help session offered by Prof. Andrew Fionda,- Competitions Coordinator for the School of Fashion.
